Wimpole Hall is a National Trust stately home and historical building that can be privately hired as a wedding venue, conference venue, exhibition venue, corporate function venue or party venue and is located in Cambridgeshire.
Wimpole Hall is Cambridgeshire's largest and grandest Georgian mansion and during its heyday, the 2nd Earl of Oxford, Lord Harley, entertained a glittering circle of writers, musicians and artists, including Swift and Pope. It has also been the home of Mrs Elsie Bambridge, the daughter of Rudyard Kipling, who helped to restore the house to its former glory with its fine interiors designed by Gibbs, Flitcroft and Soane. It now houses grand collections of paintings, furniture and ceramics. The park, landscaped by Bridgeman, Brown and Repton, has spectacular vistas, with a Gothic folly and serpentine lakes. Today you can entertain your guests in the same sumptuous style as Lord Harley. Dinner in the Dining Room preceded by drinks in the Saloon works particularly well. Alternatively the Old Rectory Restaurant is popular with its french windows opening out onto a terrace and overlooking a pretty garden.
